Your journey stays yours.

People come to FaithBreak at vulnerable moments. We take that seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the choices you always have.

Last updated: June 4, 2026

The short version. We collect as little as possible. We don’t sell your personal data. We never trade on your story. You can take your first step without an account, and you can delete your data whenever you want.

Who we are

FaithBreak (“FaithBreak,” “we,” “us”) provides a faith-based companion app for the slow work of beginning again. This policy covers our app and our website. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@faithbreak.app and a real person will answer.

What we collect

We group the information we handle into three buckets:

Things you choose to give us

  • Your email address, if you ask us to send your first day or you create an account.
  • Reflections, check-ins, and notes you write inside the app.
  • Messages you send our support team.

Things collected automatically

  • Basic device and app information (device type, operating system, app version) so the app runs reliably.
  • Anonymous, aggregated usage signals that tell us whether features work, never tied to the content of your reflections.

Things we deliberately don’t collect

  • We don’t require your real name to use the core app.
  • We don’t build advertising profiles, and we don’t sell or rent your personal data.
  • We don’t track you across other apps and websites for marketing.

Why we use it

  • Running the app. Saving your progress, syncing across your devices, and delivering the daily rhythm.
  • Supporting you. Answering your questions and resolving issues.
  • Improving quietly. Understanding which features help, using aggregated signals rather than personal content.
  • Keeping things safe. Protecting against abuse, fraud, and security threats.

We do not use the content of your reflections to advertise to you, and we never will.

When we share

We share information only in a few narrow, necessary cases:

  • Service providers who help us operate the app (for example, secure hosting and email delivery), bound by contracts to protect your data and use it only for us.
  • Legal reasons, if we’re required by law to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of someone at risk.
  • A change of ownership, such as a merger, in which case we’ll notify you and this policy will continue to protect you.

That’s the complete list. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, we want you to have real control:

  • Access and export. Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
  • Correction. Fix anything inaccurate.
  • Deletion. Delete your account and associated data at any time.
  • Notifications. Turn reminders on or off whenever you like.

To exercise any of these, email support@faithbreak.app.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your trust well-placed, and we’ll tell you promptly if a breach ever affects you.

Children

FaithBreak isn’t directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll revise the date above and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the app or by email. We’ll never quietly weaken your protections.

A gentle reminder

FaithBreak is a companion, not a clinician. It isn’t a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care. If you’re in crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local crisis line.
